Donations help us make the library a better place for everyone!

The change of seasons is only one of many changes coming to the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library. We are so happy to be able to share the news that the Montgomery County Commissioners have hired Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site of Blue Bell to design a full renovation plan for the Norristown Public Library located at 1001 Powell Street. The current building was built in 1976, before computers were a staple, before laws regarding accessibility and modern building codes, and long before COVID-19 changed how we use libraries. Today, our library needs spaces for people to meet and connect with each other, with community partners, and with the world. Parents need story times for their children; teens need spaces to gather and to learn; adults need places to apply for jobs, have business meetings, and socialize; seniors need access to information, computers, and human contact; and people need a safe, cool or warm place with friendly and knowledgeable library staff ready to help. This year we would like to ask you to help make the library a better place with your support. It will take us several years to get there and we are asking you to help us start strong by donating today. Thank you for your generosity!
