Invest in our transformation!

In an ever-changing world, libraries are more than just hubs for knowledge. Libraries are catalysts for change, helping communities evolve and navigate new worlds, increase access to opportunity and information, and foster creation, equity, and literacy. We invite you to imagine the future of the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library with us and make an investment in our transformation.

230 years after its founding in 1794, we are preparing the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library for its next transformation. Our new library will be a center for learning and experiencing, a hub for community empowerment and opportunity. We will have places for people to connect with each other and with the world – small and large meeting rooms, places to play and to learn, places to read quietly and study, and most of all, the space to be, and to become, your best possible self.

Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library is an important community institution in the heart of Norristown. It also is a critical hub for information, access, and opportunity throughout Montgomery County. As the third largest District Center in Pennsylvania, our library coordinates services for more than 865,000 residents in our county. Our 34 library locations, four delivery vans, three bookmobiles, Books by Mail, technology resources, and community partnerships bring information, access, and education to everyone, everywhere in Montgomery County.

Be a part of our historic legacy of lifelong learning and community development in Norristown and throughout Montgomery County. Thank you so much for being a part of our library community!
